This Chicken & Shiitake Mushroom filling is full of flavour! These are super easy to make at home using our Dumpling Pastry Mix and Maker Set.
Serving: 30-40 dumplings
Ingredients:
Pastry:
- 1 Packet House of Goodness Dumpling Pastry Mix
- 220ml Water
- 30ml Oil
- Rice flour, for dusting
Filling:
- 500g Chicken Mince
- 150g Shiitake Mushroom, finely diced (learn how to prepare here)
- 5 stalks Green Onion, finely chopped (green part only)
- 5 stalks Coriander, finely chopped (optional)
- 2 tsp Ginger, grated
- 2 tsp Garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Salt or Tamari
- 1/2 tsp White Pepper
Utensils:
- Rolling Pin
- Round Pastry Cutter or Maker Set
Method:
- Start by making the dough. Follow the instructions on the packet.
- While the dough rests, make the filling. Mix all the ingredients together until the mixture is slightly sticky.
- Cut the dough into 4 portions. Roll out one portion until 2-3mm thick. Dust with additional rice flour as needed
- Stamp out wrappers, and cover with a damp tea towel. Repeat until all the dough has been used.
- Take a wrapper and spoon a heaped teaspoon into the centre. For the easiest method, fold into a half moon and pinch edges tightly. Alternatively, use the images below to fold pleats.
- While wrapping the remaining dumplings, cover with a damp tea towel.
- Boil, pan fry or steam for 8-10 minutes.
- Enjoy with your favourite dipping sauce!
- To store any remaining dumplings, freeze after wrapping and cook from frozen for 10 minutes.
